    Responsibilities

    Under the Agency’s policies and professional requirements, participates as a member of an interdisciplinary clinical team.  Manages those identified clients who receive medication only, and assists with their treatment coordination, including but not limited to 6-month and annual assessments, and hospital admissions and discharges.  They will also serve those children who are involved with the Department of Child Safety who are not receiving other behavioral health services.  Completes intakes as required by site needs, and assists teammates with case coordination for additional referrals, including but not limited to referrals for HNCM, behavior coaching, and OOH packets or referrals for psychological evaluations.  Communicates and documents client progress toward their family vision and treatment goals. This is a direct service position with opportunities to provide in-office and in-home family support and case management services.  Position requires Spanish Speaking staff.  Works under the direct supervision of the Children’s Clinical Manager.

    • Works with other team members in providing support and knowledge as needed on shared cases.
    • Appreciates and applies best’s practices, recovery approaches and person support interventions.
    • Performs crisis de-escalation; mental status and risk assessment; safety planning and positive behavior support based on clinical expertise and the involvement of the client and their families and caregivers.
    • Contributes to a culture of learning (e.g., sharing information, discussing articles and best practices, etc.)
    • Maintains agency production standards.
    • Attends CFTs and other client centered staff meetings as needed.
    • Upon receipt of referral reaches out to individual and team within 24 hours.
    • Completes required documentation in electronic medical record by midnight of date of service.
    • Provides timely coordination of care with client’s teams in a professional manner (phone contacts, emails, staffing, meetings, written reports/notes, and conversations)
    • Provides direct support, positive behavior support and/or behavioral consultation to clients, family and/or teams.
    • Make reports and file incident reports based on Duty to Warn, Duty to Report or other significant emergency situations within established timeframes according to Terros Health Policy.
    • Ensures that all legal documentation is signed and scanned into child or adolescent chart within 48 hours, maintaining all documentation in an agency designated case file.
    • Maintains records of mileage traveled in course of job performance and submits to program director bi-monthly.
    • Regularly attends scheduled program staff meetings, weekly supervision and agency required events.
    • Willing to work nights and weekends if it meets the needs of their clients.
    • Update Outlook Calendar to reflect client appointments and scheduling of Child and Family Team Meetings, School Appointments and work dates and times.
    • Will use a strength-based coaching approach that educates and models interactions by offering environmental evaluation and recommendations to connect children and families with unexplored supports, increased coping skills, reduction in maladaptive behaviors and increased medication compliance

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    • GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of behavioral health (BH) experience working with children, or
    • Associate degree in the BH field, or Bachelor’s degree in BH field, or Bachelor’s degree in non-behavioral health field with 1 year minimum of BH experience working with children, or
    • Master’s degree or higher in behavioral health field. 
    • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
    • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card within 20 working days of employment.
    • Must have or obtain a valid Arizona Driver License, be 21 years of age with a minimum 3 years driving experience. Must meet requirements of Terros driving policy
