    Terros Health is currently seeking a Chief Medical Officer to lead Terros Health's medical services in a growing and ever-changing healthcare landscape.


    The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) shall establish, implement, and maintain the highest standards of professional integrated health care for the patients of Terros Health. This position shall provide the clinical leadership in identifying and implementing integrated primary physical health, mental health, and substance use care services, which are effective and efficient, to meet the needs of the patients and to improve their overall health.


    • CMO ensures medical providers (35+) meet productivity/service delivery standards.
    • CMO directly supervises the Recovery Center Medical Director, Integrated Care Medical Director and Lead PCP.
    • CMO is responsible for providing effective leadership for a population health-based model of care. 
    • CMO is responsible for coordinating patient care and safety.  
    • CMO serves as an executive clinical leader for integrating interdisciplinary components of healthcare into a functional continuum of care.
    • CMO position includes some direct patient care responsibilities.
    • CMO is a Member of the Terros Health Executive Leadership Team and participates in the strategic plan.
    • CMO is a Member of the Corporate Compliance Committee, Operational Leadership Team, Board Quality and Compliance Committee, etc.
    • CMO ensures the staffing of all medical provider positions communicating and working directly with the Medical Recruiter.
    • CMO reports directly to the President and CEO.
    • CMO must be Arizona Licensed and ideal candidate will be a board certified Psychiatrist or Family Medicine physician.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Certification: Maintains certification/eligibility by an American Board of Medical Specialties board or an American Osteopathic Association board in the respective specialty (ie., Psychiatry or Family  Medicine) 
    • Education: Graduated from an accredited program of study obtaining an M.D. or D.O. degree 
    • Field(s) of study: Graduate of an American or Canadian medical school accredited by the Accreditation Council for Medical Education (ACME) or equivalent training in a foreign medical school with successful completion of the ECFMG and FLEX examinations. Full training in a residency program in the United States or Canada that is approved by the ACME.
    • Licensure: Current, active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Arizona from the Arizona Medical Board or the Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners in  Medicine & Surgery. Maintain a valid, active DEA. 
    • Credentialing/Privileging : Must be able to achieve credentialing with all Terros Health health plans and maintain effective status.
    • Experience: At least eight years clinical experience and three years management experience. Knowledge of administrative functions and personnel management required. Experience in Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) a plus. Bilingual fluency  in Spanish is a plus.
    • Information Skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Electronic Medical Record (NextGen is a plus),  Business Intelligence
    • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 20 working days of assuming role
