    Responsibilities

    As a Senior Director of Business Development, the successful individual will be responsible for nurturing and developing leads and opportunities for expanding within the community and Terros Health’s patient-base that align with Terros Health’s values, mission, vision, and strategic plan and provide for future revenue growth opportunities.  This position will have an understanding of current and future payer, patient and community needs.  The Senior Director will provide direct supervision to the Director of Community Relations, Director of Integrated Marketing, and other positions as determined.  This position reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer.

    • Build effective relationships with representatives of the communities Terros Health serves in order to understand their needs and develop future growth opportunities for Terros Health.
    • Work with executive leadership to establish growth targets to deliver upon strategic initiatives and achieve the growth targets.
    • Build and expands Terros Health presence and brands; co-creates new lines of business.
    • Oversee the development of business plans for new or expanded business opportunities incorporating market research, competitive analysis, community analysis, budget impact, financial success, structure, implementation and accountability.
    • Identify and leverage existing patient relationships and potential patients to drive growth and recommend business opportunities to leadership based on alignment with strategic initiatives.
    • Key advocate for grant identification, business planning, and implementation. Work collaboratively with grant writers.
    • Recognize and communicate how Terros Health differentiates from competition.
    • Oversee new business implementation which results in the strategic plan growth dollars each fiscal year. Oversee organic growth with existing lines of business.
    • Oversee community relations strategies and activities to drive new business or increased existing business.
    • Oversee integrated marketing efforts to promote the Terros Health brand and to grow business achieving positive return on investments (ROIs)
    • Collaborate with executive and program leadership to design customized patient solutions that generate a positive return on investment (ROI) for the company, customer and patient.
    • Analyze market data/competitive landscape to drive sound decision making on where and how to create future growth opportunities for Terros Health.
    • Work collaboratively with Communications, Marketing, Grant Writing, Finance, Operations and Service Lines to achieve business outcomes.
    • Interviews, selects and trains employees and/or interns to ensure department objectives are met with low turnover and high retention rates.
    • Manages staff and intern performance through effective, regular and timely feedback, including regular one-on-one meetings and timely completion of performance reviews, and holding employees accountable for meeting deliverables and following Terros Health’s values and policies and procedures.
    • Effectively handles employee and intern complaints in a timely manner.
    • Models behavior in alignment with Terros Health’s values that inspires change, demonstrates flexibility and engages employees.
    • Effectively manages and plans department workflow and staffing to meet deliverables with quality outcomes even when the unexpected occurs.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ degree required. Master’s degree in business, finance, marketing or communication preferred.
    • At least 8 years business development experience, preferably in healthcare.
    • Must possess: Well-developed critical thinking and analytical abilities, and Time management, organizational, conflict resolution and judgement skills
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Access to new business contacts and lead generation.
    • Ability to evaluate business from large scale perspective and determine best approaches and where Terros Health fits in the industry.
    • Proven record of building effective relationships with business partners.
    • Be an entrepreneur, have an entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Ability to assess what markets to explore and consider.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite and HRIS system.
    • Must pass a TB Test.
    • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 20 working days of assuming role.
    • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 3 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
