    Responsibilities

    As the Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator the successful individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of the diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives of the Company.  The Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator acts as a champion for the business and an advisor to managers and the leadership team on diversity and inclusion issues.  This position reports to the Chief Operations Officer. 

    • Facilitates the development, implementation and dissemination of the Company’s diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives with internal and external groups and partners.
    • Monitor, analyze and track changes in company demographics and diversity related issues, including reporting and dashboards.
    • Facilitate the development, planning and implementation of the agency cultural competency plan.  
    • Coordinate and periodically attend external cultural community outreach efforts when appropriate.
    • Collaborate with communications and marketing to develop internal and external diversity & inclusion collateral.
    • Planning and coordinating diversity & inclusion events, such as developing creative ideas and themes for events plus determining event dates and locations.
    • Coordinate with HR on addressing employee relations issues, recruitment practices and recognition strategies to meet the needs of a diverse workforce.
    • Represent the department on various committees, projects, and/or boards when appropriate.
    • Assist with facilitating and coordinating diversity & inclusion cultural competence education modules and presentations.
    • Coordinate with clinical departments to ensure patient is culturally competent and in the language of choice for the patient.
    • Ability to drive to company sites and meetings throughout the state of Arizona.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 20 working days of assuming role.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Communications or related business field plus 3-5 years of experience in Diversity & Inclusion.
    • Ability to understand, interpret, and perform analysis related to metrics.
    • Ability to interact with employees and management across all levels as an advocate for diversity.
    • Excellent coaching, mentoring and facilitating skills.
    • Strong presentation, writing, listening and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite in particular excel.
    • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 20 working days of assuming role.
    • Must pass a TB Test.
    • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 3 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
