    Responsibilities

    The Business Intelligence department provides key insights into the Clinical, Operational and Financial activities of Terros Health through the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, data models, visualizations and reports. As a BI Healthcare Developer the successful individual will work within the Business Intelligence department to provide sustainable solutions to a variety of business needs for Terros Health. The developer will follow established best practices to write, test and deploy SQL procedures, SSAS tabular models and reports through Excel, PowerBI, SSRS, Crystal or other presentation layers.

    • Create or modify SQL stored procedures, tables, views and functions
    • Create or modify SSAS tabular models using SQL Server Data Tools through Visual Studio
    • Develop or modify calculated measures using DAX within SSAS models
    • Deploy reports through Excel PowerPivot, PowerBI, SSRS or Crystal based on need
    • Maintain data within an Enterprise Data Warehouse to support business processes
    • Create and maintain automated EDI processes using SSIS, HL7, SFTP and other technologies
    • Participate in peer review and testing
    • Participate in scheduled development sprint cycles and targeted performance goals
    • Work with analysts, clinical specialists and administrators to plan, scope, review and deliver solutions to meet the objectives of a project
    • Develop plans and estimate timelines for meeting anticipated deadlines
    • Communicate barriers, risks and assumptions to providing requested data or meeting deadlines to management
    • Contribute to documentation including report definitions, user guides, knowledge-base articles or data dictionaries as needed
    • Work independently or on a team to meet deliverables within the scope of a project
    • Learn new technologies, methods and strategies as needed

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of MSSQL development experience
    • 2+ years of working with EHR systems like NextGen, McKesson, EPIC, Cerner, etc.
    • 2+ years of data modelling and visualization with SSAS, PowerBI, tableau or other platforms
    • 2+ years relevant application or systems development experience desired
    • Familiarity with statistical methods, machine learning and tools preferred
    • Solid understanding of structured and unstructured data sources including csv, excel, xml, HL7, databases and data streams
    • Proficiency with Visual Studio tools
    • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work strategically and prioritize appropriately
    • Must possess a commitment to meeting mission-critical deadlines
    • Must possess a desire to collaborate with and elevate peer developers and coworkers
    • Excellent verbal and technical writing skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
