    Terros Health is pleased to share an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Family Mentor. Located at our 51st Avenue and Camelback Recovery Center, our Peer team members are able to utilize their personal experiences to benefit our members and their support groups to help build positive, professional relationships on their behalf. The individuals will need to be professional, friendly, a self-starter, organized, and compassionate.

    Responsibilities

    A family mentor will participate as a member of the clinical team to mentor and provide recovery-based coaching for related to their clinical goals to SMI or General Mental Health diagnosed members under Court Ordered treatment. Assists clients, family members and natural supports with identifying client treatment and recovery goals and provides supportive services to help reach their goals. Provides direct one to one and group psychosocial support to family and natural supports, and share their personal shared experience to support the family and client’s recovery. Self-disclosed shared experience in the behavioral health system required.

    Qualifications

     

    • Must have a High School Diploma/GED and at least 1 year previous behavioral health experience,
    • Passed Peer Certification program,
    • Behavioral Health recipient in recovery for at least 1 – 3 years and/or first-hand experience with family members with serious mental illness and/or chronic disease,
    • Valid Arizona Driver’s License,
    • Must understand and utilize a recovery approach and philosophy.
    • Exemplify great customer service and motivational skills.
    • Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions.
    • Must be able to work on a computer and tablet in Microsoft Office, with electronic medical records and in NextGen.
