    Responsibilities

     


    • The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability and financial reporting, as well as accounts analysis and reconciliations, and other special projects, as assigned
    • Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
    • Review staff accountant journal entries and bank reconciliations
    • Prepare revenue journal entries
    • Reconcile on monthly basis of major balance sheet accounts and work with other team members to resolve discrepancie
    • Produce financial statements package, incl. standard management reports, such as operating indicators and cash flow reports.
    • Assist with monthly employee benefits accounts reconciliations.
    • Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance required
    • 5+ years accounting/finance experience
    • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • CPA designation a plus
    • Great Plains, FRX and COGNOS reports writing experience a plus.
    • Not-for profit and behavioral health industry experience a plus.
    • Federal and states grants accounting experience a plus.
    • Strong analytical and accounting skills.
    • Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction
    • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
