Provides direct treatment, rehabilitative and supportive services in a community setting to clients served on the ACT team a clinic. Works as a team member of al team to assess member needs and wants, participates in the development of individual service plans, acts as a member advocate and liaisons with families and community agencies. Serves as the ACT Team’s specialist for substance abuse issues by providing other team staff with information and knowledge in respect to substance use issues. Provides specific substance abuse interventions to clients as clinically indicated. Provides on-call crisis intervention services, as well as weekend and holiday coverage.


  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in the delivery of substance abuse services required
  • Strong understanding of substance use, addiction and recovery clinical skills
  • Valid Arizona Driver License
  • Must pass preemployment screening, including driving, background, drug, and TB
  • Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor or Independent Substance Abuse Counselor preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills which allow for professional and positive relationships with co-workers, members, families, and other community members. Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, electronic medical record, NextGen preferred.
