    Responsibilities

    The LADDER program is a therapeutic program aiming at facilitating changes in our clients with co-occurring disorders. As a recovery support specialist, you will be providing a wide range of direct support to assist clients in reaching their recovery goals.  You will work closely with your colleagues including clinicians and behavioral health technicians. Flexibility, dependability and teamwork are the fundamental principle of a successful peer support specialist in the Ladder program.

     

    Responsibilities;

    Core duties include but not limited to;

    • Welcome and orient clients to the clinic and the program
    • Establish supportive relationship with all clients
    • Plan and provides transportation of clients in the Terros Health LADDER Program
    • Plan and facilitates activities and groups
    • Document services provided
    • Participate in morning meeting and staff meeting
    • Outreach and engage clients in the community
    • Be a role model of recovery
    • Encourage involvement of client’s natural support
    • Provide case management as needed
    • Maintain good self-care and committed to the principle of recovery

    Qualifications

    • Level 1 fingerprint clearance
    • Peer Certification approved by DBHS- required
    • High School Diploma or GED, as well direct service work experience totaling a minimum of one (1) year in a behavioral health setting.
    • Customer service skills, especially good communication skills are needed
    • Ability to work independently, with flexibility, and within prescribed deadlines
    • Basic computer skills
    • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance as driving is an essential function of this position
