    Responsibilities

    Terros Health Community Stabilization Team provide behavioral health, education and follow up services.  CSS completes an in-person or telephonic post crisis clinical assessment and discusses the client’s progress in the community. The CSS assesses that the crisis is being resolved or coordinates with ongoing crisis providers as needed.  CSS provide clinical peer based services that are designed to enhance the quality of recovery and also support connection to ongoing community based treatment.

    • Day shift
    • Sunday - Wednesday
    • 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (4 10 hour shift)

    Qualifications

    • Trained as a Peer Support Worker (certificate required)
    • Qualifying driving record. Must have a driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. Applicant must also have reliable transportation and legal driving status.  Proof of insurance required.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Must have a Level-1 DPS Fingerprint clearance card or be able to obtain within first month of employment.
    • Customer service skills with emphasis on rapport building and communication skills.
    • Ability to handle high stress environments and work independently with flexibility in given deadlines.
    • Physical demands of this position include walking reasonable distances at a time and standing for long periods of time.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Must be a peer as identified as someone who is in recovery from alcohol and/or drugs, has been diagnosed with and currently treating a mental illness, or have a co-occurring disorder as defined by a doctor or qualifying assessor. 
    • Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of sobriety from alcohol/drugs and/or have at least 1 year of treatment for their diagnosed mental illness. 
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
