Responsibilities

Join our TERROS Team! We are looking for bright, caring, and compassionate people to become a part of supporting growth in others. We currently are hiring for a Recovery Support Specialist in our Bridging the Gap program.

 

The Recovery Support Specialist works with persons with SMI designation that are transitioning from hospitals, 24 hour level of care and group homes back into the community. This RSS provides services to ensure a smooth transition and linkage into needed supports to remain in the community. This position requires skills for engagement, building relationship, enhancing motivation and coordinating care. Duties include, but are not limited to assessing service needs, becoming familiar with community resources, case management with coordination of care with all entities involved in client care.

 

Qualifications

  • Level 1 fingerprint clearance
  • Peer Certification approved by DBHS
  • High School Diploma or GED, as well direct service work experience totaling a minimum of one (1) year in a behavioral health setting.
  • Customer service skills, especially good communication skills are needed
  • Ability to work independently, with flexibility, and within prescribed deadlines
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
