Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) understands business challenges and will support the development of solutions that address business needs. The successful HRBP candidate has demonstrated success at influencing and guiding employees and business leaders. The HRBP applies critical thinking and tact in all business dealings, must have in depth knowledge of employment laws and best practices, and will resolve employee relations issues as they arise through sound decision making.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manages employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with business leaders and employees and gains an understanding of operational needs.
  • Ability to advise effectively employees and management concerning compensation, benefits, employee services and training in accordance with policies, procedures and practices.
  • Ensures confidentiality and demonstrates good judgment.

 

Other Functions

  • Applies expertise to ensure compliance with all employment laws and company policies and procedures in a consistent manner.
  • Provides coaching to management with an emphasis on leadership behaviors.
  • Facilitates and/or provides employee and management training, new hire orientation, exit interviews and follows up on identified issues with other functional departments.
  • Takes initiative, works with a sense of urgency and proactively proposes solutions to challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of the HR team building relationships and providing support.
  • Conducts research and analysis to determine the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of current programs, policies and procedures and recommends revisions accordingly.
  • Has a high customer service focus with effective communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required: 3 to 5 years relevant HR work experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • If do not have a bachelor’s degree then equivalent experience with active HR certification
  • Able to apply for and obtain a level 1 fingerprint clearance card within 20 working days of employment
