Responsibilities

This position provides support to members, families and teams of those individuals who are part of the Developmentally Delayed population including the Autism Spectrum, children age birth to five with behavioral needs, and transition age youth (TAY). The program works both with children and adults. The purpose is to provide behavioral support and consultation to the individual member, their family and/or setting staff. Responsible for responding to crisis calls as needed as well as planned interventions. Capable of applying deescalating   interventions based on positive behavior support, choice education, and person and family support. Will assist with the development of individual service plan, person centered planning, emergency contact sheet, and the at risk crisis plan. Will participate in emergency staffing and CFTs.   On call position: will cover minimum of four 10- hour shifts per month.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2 to 3 years’ experience working with children in a Behavioral Health Setting.
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR/First Aid
  • The person must be able to work well and tactfully with individuals and groups.
  • They must possess a valid Arizona’s Driver’s license, and be able to properly and safely operate a Terros Health vehicle. Incurred traffic violations may be subject to disciplinary action.
  • They must be and remain sufficiently physically fit to perform all job duties.
  • The person must have the ability to perform first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as necessary and appropriate. The person must also have a current certification in CIT.

 

Confidentiality of client records shall be maintained during and after employment at Terros Health. In compliance with all HIPPA regulations. Any violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
