This position is responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and implementation of Diversity projects, initiatives, meetings and events. Works closely with the VP of Diversity to meet accountability for Diversity-related reports and oversight compliance. Interface with Terros teams and community partners.  Other responsibilities include:


  • Co-coordinate all aspects for organizing a state-wide behavioral health conference
  • Assist with on-line conference registrations and fielding communications with registrants, sponsors and speakers
  • Organize and note-take for all Planning Committee meetings
  • Assist with preparation for and note-take for Diversity & Inclusion Committee
  • Assist with preparation for Cultural Competency trainings
  • Assist in ongoing implementation of Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Service (CLAS) standards
  • Participate in research and community interface opportunities to improve diversity and inclusion standards



  • General knowledge of behavioral health/integrated health care principles and practices
  • Experience with Word and Excel
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s license in good standing
  1. Able to become fingerprint certified in accordance with Arizona Department of Public Safety requirements
  2. Ability to interact well verbally to the general public by portraying critical thinking and communicating a positive attitude
  3. Ability to communicate verbally, in writing with professionals and paraprofessionals.
  4. Flexibility of work hours to achieve the objectives of a project
  5. Willing to work with all cultures and sub-cultures that comprise the population of Maricopa County in a non-judgmental and value clear manner
  6. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish a plus
