Responsibilities

The purpose of the Children’s Clinical Manager position is to assist the Children’s Director in overall direction of health and clinical services. This position oversees the areas of clinical services and activities including, performance review, patient relations, patient’s safety, regulatory compliance and service excellence. The Children’s Clinical Manager provides clinical and administrative supervision, clinical oversight, training and mentoring for assigned staff using the Triple Aim framework of “Better health for the population, better care for the individual and lower cost per capita”. The position supervises clinical activities ensuring clinical programming supports the Terros Health’s whole person whole health philosophy, is in accordance with state and federal regulations and meets licensure/accreditation standards. Ensures compliance with budgets and coordination of clinical and primary care services with the purpose of improving the overall health of clients/patients under the site’s purview.

 

 

A.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision of the Children’s Director, the Children’s Clinical Manager performs the following essential functions:

 

 

Leadership

 

1.

Clinic and Client Management

 

10.

Provides and documents clinical and administrative supervision, consultation, and mentoring of daily clinical operations for direct reports ensuring that the needs of members are being met and that services are delivered as outlined in each member’s assessment and Individual Service Plan.

 

 

 

11.

Conducts regular quality and compliance reviews of all team members and provide coaching and suggestions for improvement.

 

 

 

12.

Serves as an expert regarding evidence based practices and quality care.

 

 

 

13.

Uses data and analytics to ensure excellence in care.

 

 

 

14.

Monitors and evaluates assigned staff members through clinical supervision and chart reviews.

 

 

 

15.

Monitors staff production to ensure that the 62.5% per week agency requirement is met by all employees.

 

 

 

16.

Ensures staff member annual evaluations are completed by the staff member’s anniversary date.

 

 

 

17.

Ensures all clients/patients are receiving primary care services.

 

 

 

18.

Ensures all clients/patients experience excellent customer care/service. (client is priority)

 

 

 

19.

Monitors ER and hospital utilization of assigned clients/patients and works with clinical staff to reduce utilization.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Has a Master’s degree and is licensed at the independent level in accordance with ARS Chapter 33, Article 1, under the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
  • Interpersonal skills which allow for professional and positive relationships with co-workers, members, families, and other community members.
  • Strong clinical skills, including crisis de-escalation preferred.
  • Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions.
  • Thorough understanding of clinical documentation requirements and procedures.
  • DSM-V competency.
  • Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Electronic health record, NextGen preferred

Licenses, Certifications

  • Possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License
  • Must have ability to perform first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation as necessary and appropriate.
  • Independently licensed clinician preferred.
